Have you ever watched a movie that just scared the bejeezus out of you? For me, it was the original Friday the 13th and the first Halloween. Of course I was a kid when those movies came out. For my mother, the movie Psycho did it for her.

As a spiritual healer and teacher, I get asked a lot of questions about Chakra's. " What are they?", "Can I see them?", and my favorite, " I think mine are broken!" are just some of the things I hear from clients and students alike.

What is a rock? We all know what rocks are right? The are lying on the ground everywhere! They are the mountains, and canyons that you can't help but notice. We have all thrown them, sat on them, and dug them out of our gardens.

I don't know about ya'll, but I just love the summer! I love to invite friends and family over for a cook out. Sometimes we play games, sip on a few cold ones and chit chat. Other times, the kids get together and put on plays, or other fun events.

December 4, 2007. I awoke that morning, made my coffee like any other day. I got the kids up, made them cereal and turned the TV to Sponge Bob. I gave the baby his bottle. Just like any random morning. I sat down at the computer and began planning my day.

I once was happy and in love. My partner and I nestled together in comfort -- not in luxury but in relative comfort. One has few needs when one is in love.

For many, many years, conservative blood ran deeply in my veins. I lived behind the high walls of denial, like many Americans, always looking for the next best thing.

When Mitt Romney gave his vitrolic rant at the Republican National Convention, I got more than a little upset. I wrote this article then and I think its time we remembered our history and reclaimed our heritage that would not have been possible without "liberals."

A Coast Guard training exercise in the Potomac River near the Pentagon sparked confusion amid Friday's commemorations of the Sept. 11 anniversary. Media reports that shots were being fired in the river sent FBI agents scrambling to the scene and led the nearest airport to briefly ground flights.
Next week President Obama will make a televised appearance to address the nation's schoolchildren and speak "on the importance of taking responsibility for their success in school." This is apparently a problem.
Last week a buddy of mine, who is the team medic for the Atlanta Rollergirls, acquired me a press pass to photograph a roller derby contest. Not really knowing what to expect I loaded my camera gear and off I went to the Yaarab Shrine Center in downtown Atlanta.

DolceSpiritus,
Thank you indeed for you kind comment left on what I assume is my homepage. I'm not quite clued as to how all this works as of yet. And I am heartened to see that there are still intelligent lovely belles out in the universe. Of late I have begun to despair that, like mannerly behavior, they all have been sucked into some swirling vortex of rude homogenized Shopping Mall Hell .Best at you and yours.
